Letter to a Pig + samtal

A Holocaust survivor reads a letter he wrote to the pig who saved his life. A young schoolgirl hears his testimony in class and sinks into a twisted dream where she confronts questions of identity, collective trauma, and the extremes of human nature.

Join us for a screening of Letter to a Pig (17 min), the Oscar-nominated animated short film by Tal Kantor, followed by a vital conversation with voices deeply connected to the issues it raises.

How does evil shape us, and can we find a way to heal through dialogue? Is it possible to mend the frayed fabric of our society?

Since October 7th, many in Swedish society have felt the impact of the violent conflict in the Middle East. The narratives have fractured, leaving friendships strained and trust broken. Polarization, mistrust, and a sense of otherness are tearing at the social fabric.

Using the film as a starting point, this conversation will explore urgent questions for our society today: What does standing for justice truly mean, and how does it affect us personally? In what ways do media portrayals of evil shape our relationships with others? How can we maintain friendships and trust amidst conflicting narratives? And crucially, how do we move forward from here?

This event invites reflection, dialogue, and the hope of healing in difficult times.
